Plant Mechanic

Posted Date: 19 Aug 2026 Location: About the Role As a Plant Mechanic at Ravensworth, you'll work alongside a skilled maintenance team responsible for maximising equipment reliability, safety and availability across a world-class mining operation. WesTrac supports Hunter Valley mine sites including Ravensworth through dedicated site-based maintenance teams focused on Caterpillar equipment performance. Key Responsibilities Servicing, maintaining and repairing CAT® mobile mining equipment. Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults. Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections. Completing breakdown repairs and component replacements. Utilising CAT diagnostic systems and technologies. Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping. Supporting fleet reliability and production outcomes. Skills and Experience To succeed in this role, you'll have: Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (COP highly regarded). Experience working on heavy mobile equipment. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability. Commitment to safe work practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Current Driver's Licence. Highly Desirable CAT equipment experience.
