We’re working with a fast-growing AI company developing a new generation of digital workers for enterprise organizations. Its technology combines AI, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, and workflow automation to give autonomous digital employees the tools and system access they need to perform real business functions.

As an Platform Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building the technical foundation behind these deployments. You’ll design the services, integrations, and infrastructure that allow AI-driven workers to securely access enterprise systems, communicate through existing business channels, and operate reliably at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect and develop the infrastructure supporting AI-driven enterprise workloads across customer environments.
  • Build core services for identity management, authentication, authorization, permissions, RBAC, and audit logging.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise communication and productivity platforms including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Teams, Zoom, email, and voice.
  • Build infrastructure and connectors that enable interaction with systems such as NetSuite, SharePoint, Google Drive, SAP, Oracle, and other business-critical applications.
  • Create reusable frameworks and abstractions that make onboarding new enterprise applications and customer environments fast and repeatable.
  • Own cloud infrastructure, production deployments, observability, monitoring, incident management, and on-call processes.
  • Improve system reliability, scalability, and security as the company expands its enterprise customer base.
  • Work closely with AI and application engineers to develop APIs, services, infrastructure, and internal tooling that accelerate product development.
  • Streamline provisioning and deployment workflows so customer environments can move from initial setup to production in days rather than weeks.
  • Build infrastructure around enterprise-grade security, access controls, compliance, data protection, and auditability.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and establish engineering standards as the platform evolves.
  • Take meaningful ownership of technical initiatives and help shape the engineering organization as the team grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong foundations in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline. A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience building and supporting production software, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
  • Experience designing backend, cloud, or infrastructure systems that need to operate reliably at scale.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, identity, RBAC, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Experience building integrations with enterprise SaaS products, productivity platforms, communication tools, or business-critical applications.
  • Hands-on experience with production infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, observability, incident response, and operational ownership.
  • Ability to work across application and infrastructure layers to solve complex technical problems.
  • A pragmatic, execution-oriented approach with a focus on building systems that are reliable and production-ready.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects from architecture and implementation through deployment and ongoing operation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, SOC 2, access controls, or vendor security processes is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with highly technical engineering teams.
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment where priorities evolve quickly and engineers are expected to take significant ownership.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $230,000 – $285,000, depending on experience
  • Location: San Francisco, CA — Hybrid
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
  • 401(k)
  • Visa sponsorship
  • Significant opportunity to influence infrastructure architecture and technical direction
  • High ownership within a rapidly scaling AI company
