Platform Software Engineer
New York, NY (on-site) | Competitive base + equity
I'm working with a well funded AI and robotics startup in NYC. Their robots run real world experiments around the clock, and AI decides what to try next. Small team, serious backing, and work that leaves the simulator every day.
They need an engineer to build the platform the robotics team works on: simulation, tooling and the pipelines that get robot code from sim onto real hardware safely.
What you'll do
- Build and run simulation environments for testing robot software
- Own containerised tooling and CI/CD for the robotics stack
- Make it fast and safe to go from simulation to real hardware
- Give the robotics team the infrastructure to ship quicker
What they're looking for
- Robotics simulation tools such as Isaac Sim, MuJoCo or Gazebo
- Containers and Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines
- Strong Python
- Experience in a robotics environment
- ROS 2
- GPU workloads or hardware in the loop testing
