Job Summary The Plumbing Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for plumbing systems in commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects . The role requires engineering expertise , strong analytical skills, and proficiency in technical estimations, project planning, and plumbing system design . Key Responsibilities Project Estimation & Cost Analysis Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements. Conduct technical evaluations and provide cost-effective solutions for plumbing installations. Prepare detailed cost estimates for bidding and project execution, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure feasibility and budget alignment. Technical & Engineering Support Utilize engineering principles to evaluate the most efficient plumbing systems for each project. Apply knowledge of mechanical, civil, or industrial engineering to optimize plumbing designs and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with U.S. plumbing codes, building regulations, and safety standards. Vendor & Client Coordination Engage with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing and updated material specifications. Support the sales and engineering teams in providing technical guidance to clients and stakeholders. Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts, bids, and project proposals. Continuous Improvement & Industry Compliance Stay updated on industry advancements, engineering best practices, and cost trends. Required Qualifications Education & TN Visa Eligibility Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or a related discipline) Required for TN Visa approval. Minimum 3 years of experience in plumbing estimation, cost analysis, or related engineering fields. Technical & Professional Skills Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and engineering calculations. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or other estimation/design software. Experience interpreting construction blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings. Familiarity with U.S. plumbing codes, OSHA regulations, and industry safety standards. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Soft Skills & Communication Strong collaboration and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with engineers, contractors, and project managers. Detail-oriented with high accuracy in cost estimation and project planning.
