Potable Water Foreman

Our team is seeking an experienced Potable Water Foreman to join our team on a water pipeline contracting project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day site supervision of potable water pipeline works, ensuring that installation, testing, and commissioning activities are carried out safely, to the required quality, and in accordance with approved drawings and method statements. You'll work closely with site engineers, pipe fitters, and site crews to deliver the works efficiently on a large-scale pipeline infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Crew Management

• Supervise pipe fitters and site crews engaged in potable water pipeline works.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Provide on-site guidance and direction to the team to maintain workmanship standards.

Pipeline Installation & Execution

• Supervise the installation of DI/HDPE/GRP/CS pipelines, fittings, and valve chambers.
• Oversee pressure testing, flushing, disinfection, shutdowns, and tie-in works as assigned.
• Read and interpret approved drawings and ensure works are executed accordingly.

Materials & Equipment Coordination

• Coordinate the availability of materials, tools, and equipment required for daily site activities.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of pipes, fittings, and consumables on site.
• Liaise with site engineering and stores to avoid delays due to material or equipment shortages.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure the team follows approved drawings, method statements, and quality requirements at all times.
• Confirm that all required permits are in place before commencing works, including shutdown and tie-in activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and testing at each stage of the works

HSE Compliance

• Ensure that all site activities are carried out in line with project HSE procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks and promote safe working practices among the crew.
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents promptly to site management.
