About the Role
Join an early-stage AI computing hardware team as a Principal Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer. You will lead circuit design and contribute to chip architecture for a novel computing approach that uses CMOS thermal noise for probabilistic sampling.
What You'll Do
Lead analog and mixed-signal block design for upcoming chip tape-outs, including ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, serializers and deserializers, oscillators, and dividers.
Own substantial parts of chip architecture and potentially lead the design of a planned chip.
Perform hands-on layout and design verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.
Collaborate with IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to translate computing concepts into silicon implementations.
Help test and validate fabricated chips using lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
What We're Looking For
6 or more years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, with hands-on work across blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, or SerDes.
CMOS circuit design expertise and multiple completed tape-outs, including experience with FinFET or 28nm/65nm process nodes.
An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering focused on circuits or IC design.
Proficiency with Cadence simulation, including parasitic extraction, Monte Carlo analysis, and corner analysis.
Hands-on layout experience and willingness to take on work beyond a narrow specialty in a collaborative startup environment.
Experience with Python and C is relevant to the role.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $200,000 to $325,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
Hybrid, with three days per week on-site in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
