Job Description Principal Engineer, EMC and Wireless Compliance Lake Forest, CA (In office 4x/week) Direct Hire. Relocation available. Our client seeks a Principal EMC Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team in Lake Forest, CA. This role focuses on ensuring our electro-mechanical surgical instruments meet global EMC and Wireless certification requirements. You will: · Research and develop product requirements, provide strategic planning for compliance, and perform test assessments throughout the development lifecycle. · Support product development with specialized EMI/EMC hardware and software (Electromechanical Interference / Electromechanical Compliance). · Conduct testing in our EMC Lab and external labs. · Utilize simulation software for PCB layout verification. · Lead internal and external teams to ensure timely and cost-effective results · Document and execute V&V tests compliant to medical device standards (QSR, ISO 13485), and prepare detailed test plans and reports. Requirements Requirements: BS degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of relevant experience. Proven EMI/EMC/Shielding/Simulation experience in developing highly sensitive electronic devices.
