About the Role
This is a full-stack AI product engineering role at a Series D legaltech / immigration platform, sitting directly alongside the founding team and early customers. You will own AI-powered features from model pipeline to user interface, and your success is measured by real customer impact, not benchmark scores in isolation.
What You'll Do
Design and build agentic pipelines, RAG architectures, LLM integrations, and prompt chains that power core product experiences.
Own features end-to-end: backend orchestration services, frontend React interfaces, and production deployments.
Build and maintain evaluation and observability frameworks to measure AI output quality and catch regressions before customers encounter them.
Partner with design and product to translate user needs into shipped AI-powered experiences, not just APIs waiting for integration.
Operate as a force multiplier using AI-assisted coding tooling to accelerate development velocity without sacrificing quality.
Engage across the full application lifecycle: coding, debugging, testing, and deploying.
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience working with text LLMs and building agentic workflows, including evaluation and iteration.
Proficiency in Python, with experience in ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers.
Experience with agent workflow frameworks (for example, n8n or similar orchestration and agent SDK tooling).
Background at a high-bar engineering environment: a large tech company, a well-funded startup, or as a founding or early engineer.
Strong CS fundamentals, ideally from a rigorous academic program; research publications in NLP or ML are a plus.
Demonstrated tenure and commitment at prior roles.
Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Salary: $200,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
