We have partnered with one of the region’s largest and best-known businesses to find a product leader who will own the Buying & Sourcing domain of its Category Management Platform, end to end.

This is a blank-page-to-shipped role.

You’ll work with buying and sourcing teams across the business to understand how they really work, then build one scalable, platform-first way of doing it. You’ll lead your own small, skilled engineering team, and you’ll use AI across the whole delivery cycle, not just talk about it.

What you’ll own

• The full product lifecycle: discovery, PRDs, stories, sprint planning, delivery, UAT and rollout, with full accountability for outcomes
• Your engineering team: set direction, remove blockers and keep a small, independent team shipping fast
• The business partnership: work directly with buying and sourcing teams to map their workflows and turn them into platform-first solutions
• AI-powered delivery: use AI to create discovery mocks, generate PRDs and specs, design test cases and speed up engineering
• Standardisation: champion one way of working across business units and push back on one-off customisations that create technical debt
• The integration landscape: understand how the platform connects with the wider ERP and operational ecosystem

What you’ll bring

• Product experience on business platforms: internal operational tools, ERP-adjacent workflows or commerce infrastructure, ideally in retail
• Hands-on AI use across the SDLC, in discovery, specs, prototyping, test design and engineering acceleration. Real examples, not just familiarity
• A track record of leading a small engineering team independently, setting direction and driving delivery without day-to-day oversight
• Clear, confident communication: you run workshops, stakeholder reviews and leadership updates on your own
• Buying and sourcing domain knowledge across the end-to-end cycle
