ClemensfoodgroupProduction Superintendent – Bacon | 2nd Shift Location: Hatfield, PA | On-Site Shift: 2nd Shift | Weekend flexibility required Relocation Assistance Available Clemens Food Group is seeking an experienced Production Superintendent to lead 2nd shift bacon production at our flagship Hatfield Main facility. Due to the size and scale of our facility, production areas, and teams, the role is comparable in scope to an Operations Manager position at many other organizations. You will lead through front-line supervisors, maintain responsibility for a large production team, and own performance across Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People. Spanning more than 1 million square feet, Hatfield Main is a large, complex pork manufacturing operation with significant responsibility for producing the fresh and value-added pork products that serve our customers and consumers. The facility is also undergoing a major modernization and expansion designed to strengthen safety, food safety, product flow, and bacon production capabilities. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity with responsibility for a significant production area. As an Operations Superintendent, you will lead through front-line supervisors while remaining visible and connected to the operation. You will be accountable for delivering results across Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People while developing leaders, improving performance, and preparing the operation for continued growth. What You’ll Do Lead 2nd shift bacon production and own performance across safety, food safety, quality, service, labor, yield, cost, and productivity. Coach and develop front-line supervisors, strengthen accountability, build succession plans, and create an engaged, respectful team culture. Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, lead daily operating discussions, and respond to changing staffing, equipment, scheduling, and production needs. Partner with Quality, Food Safety, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other teams to improve overall performance. Identify root causes and drive sustainable improvements in throughput, labor utilization, yield, reliability, quality, and operational efficiency. Support the introduction of new equipment, processes, technologies, and products as the operation continues to grow. What We’re Looking For 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a similarly complex environment. Experience leading large teams through front-line supervisors within a high-volume manufacturing operation. A demonstrated ability to develop leaders, strengthen accountability, and build engaged, high-performing teams. A track record of solving operational problems and delivering measurable improvements across safety, quality, service, labor, yield, productivity, and cost. The ability to prioritize, anticipate challenges, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered. Food manufacturing experience preferred, with meat, protein, bacon, further processing, or USDA-regulated experience strongly preferred.
