Project Engineer – Heavy Structural Steel Fabrication

Bhullar Group is seeking a Project Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in heavy structural steel fabrication and project management for a full-time role based at 5 Drover Place.

We are looking for a practical, organised engineer who can work closely with workshop teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

About the Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing project scope, schedules, budgets and key milestones.
• Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and fabrication requirements.
• Coordinating procurement, workshop fabrication, inspections and delivery.
• Tracking project progress and resolving technical and production issues.
• Managing variations, project documentation and progress reporting.
• Supporting quality assurance and compliance with relevant standards.
• Maintaining clear communication between clients, engineering teams and the workshop.

About You:

To be successful, you will have:

• A degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in heavy structural steel fabrication, including project management.
• A sound understanding of fabrication processes, welding, assembly and quality requirements.
• Confidence interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience managing costs, schedules, procurement and project variations.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on approach and a commitment to safety and quality.

Experience coordinating structural steel installation and erection would be an advantage.
