Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or a related engineering field. Experience in pump rental, overpumping, pumping systems, or dewatering is preferred.

A valid GCC Driving Licence is mandatory.

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to lead engineering and site delivery for pump rental and overpumping contracts across the UAE.

The candidate will supervise Project Engineers and plan, monitor, and improve site operations across several contracts at once. Contracts cover construction, municipality, oil & gas, pipeline, and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Project delivery:

• After contract award, prepare and sign off method statements, risk assessments, programmes and safe systems of work.
• Deliver the work to the contract programme.

Equipment & resources:

• Specify and procure the pumps and equipment for each contract.
• Plan and prioritise staff, plant and third-party labour to keep teams lean and projects profitable.

Team supervision:

• Supervise, mentor and support Project Engineers and site foremen.
• Hold regular planning meetings.

Site data & reporting:

• Ensure accurate recording and reporting of site information, including as-built data and discharge flows.
• Maintain proper project records and documentation.
• Ensure site records and supporting documents are maintained to support payment applications and project valuations.

Commercial:

• Attend contractual and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Identify potential variations, claims, and additional work opportunities.
• Ensure site records and measurements are properly documented and signed off.
• Support timely payment applications and commercial recovery.

Continuous improvement:

• Identify opportunities to reduce project waste and improve operational efficiency.
• Minimize unnecessary transportation, waiting time, idle inventory, and rework.
• Implement practical improvements to make project delivery more efficient and cost-effective.

Health & safety:

• Put the safety of staff, third parties and the public first.
• Work with HSSE and promote near-miss reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or a related engineering field.
• Experience in pump rental, overpumping, pumping systems, or dewatering is preferred.
• Geotechnical or dewatering site experience will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of project financial and contractual requirements.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in challenging site conditions.
• Willingness to travel across the GCC and spend extended periods on site, including at short notice.
• Valid GCC Driving Licence.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
