Their Buildings division in the Netherlands consists of approximately 180 professionals delivering installation engineering and consultancy services across new build and existing building projects. The team has a strong culture of knowledge sharing, technical ambition, and collaborative problem solving. Data centers form a significant and growing part of their project portfolio.

Vacancy Information

As Project Manager, you will take end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of building installation projects with a strong focus on data centers and mission critical facilities. You will work closely with internal design teams covering mechanical and electrical disciplines, acting as the bridge between the engineering work being done and the client expectations that need to be met.

This is not a purely commercial project management role. The clients and projects you will be working on demand someone who understands the technical side of building installations, particularly electrical systems, and can have a credible, substantive conversation with both the design team and the client. You will manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships while keeping the quality of the engineering output firmly in focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking full project responsibility for the delivery of data center and building installation projects from feasibility through to completion.
• Working closely with internal mechanical and electrical design teams to ensure design output is integrated, on programme, and aligned with client requirements.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project, managing expectations and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Monitoring and controlling project budgets and timelines, identifying risks early and resolving them before they affect delivery.
• Coordinating between the internal design team and all external parties including contractors, suppliers, and other consultants.
• Contributing to tender processes and supporting business development activities as part of the wider team.
• Supporting the development of junior and medior team members over time.

What You Need

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Installation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Solid experience in project management within a building installations or engineering consultancy environment, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked on data center or mission critical facility projects.
• A genuine understanding of electrical building installations and the ability to engage technically with design teams, clients, and contractors.
• Experience managing project budgets, programmes, and multidisciplinary stakeholder relationships within complex engineering projects.
• Knowledge of BIM and digital design tools is an advantage.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to spot opportunities and support their conversion.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to lead at a senior level.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
