Project Manager – Defence Construction | $60m | Brisbane

Tier 2 Head Contractor | Relocation Assistance Available | Major Defence Programme

An established Tier 2 head contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its Brisbane delivery team on a $60m defence construction programme.

The programme comprises three projects, currently approximately 90% through the design phase, with construction delivery underway.

This opportunity would suit a Project Manager who has previously delivered defence projects within a head contractor environment and understands the complexities of working across secure, operational sites.

The Role

You'll be joining a well-structured and experienced delivery team, including a Senior Project Manager, Site Manager, two Project Engineers, Senior Contract Administrator, intermediate Contract Administrator, Cadet and dedicated full-time Safety Advisor.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the delivery of defence construction works from design coordination through to completion.
• Overseeing project programmes, budgets, procurement and commercial performance.
• Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Managing design development and construction interfaces.
• Ensuring compliance with defence security requirements and site protocols.
• Identifying and managing programme, commercial and delivery risks.
• Supporting and coordinating the site delivery team to achieve project milestones.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

About You

• Demonstrated experience delivering defence construction projects as a Project Manager.
• Current Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
• Experience working for a head contractor, ideally within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment.
• Track record delivering projects up to $60m.
• Experience across new-build and/or brownfield construction projects.
• Strong commercial, programming and stakeholder management skills.
• Confident managing complex construction projects within secure environments.
• Based in Brisbane or open to relocating.
