Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, resource plans, risk assessments, and status reports.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or technical challenges, and coordinate solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for engine project inquiries and facilitate communication across internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead or participate in design reviews, engine build reviews, dynamometer (dyno) testing, validation planning, and customer project updates.

Technical Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, performance requirements, test plans, calibration records, compliance documentation, and project schedules.
  • Develop project dashboards, performance summaries, risk logs, meeting notes, and management reports.
  • Maintain accurate project records across project management systems, engineering platforms, ERP tools, and internal documentation systems.
  • Track scope changes, project deliverables, regulatory submissions, and milestone commitments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, finance, service, and executive leadership to align project objectives and deliverables.
  • Communicate technical requirements, project timelines, resource needs, and performance expectations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues involving engine performance, testing delays, resource constraints, and competing priorities, escalating complex matters when appropriate.
  • Support collaboration between engineering and operational teams to ensure successful project execution.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Support compliance with applicable emissions regulations, safety standards, engineering requirements, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate documentation and reporting for internal and external audits.
  • Work with engineering, quality, compliance, and other stakeholders to support regulatory requirements, including applicable EPA, CARB, and ISO standards.
  • Maintain accurate records related to engine performance, testing, certification, and regulatory compliance.

Process Improvement & Strategic Support

  • Identify opportunities to improve engine development processes, testing workflows, project execution, and documentation practices.
  • Use project management systems, engineering tools, and analytics dashboards to improve project visibility and efficiency.
  • Contribute to standardized project management practices, templates, workflows, and internal controls.
  • Provide project insights and recommendations that support product reliability, operational performance, and long-term business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Powertrain Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in engine development, powertrain engineering, engine testing, or technical project leadership.
  • Strong understanding of engine systems, thermodynamics, combustion principles, emissions control, and powertrain integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex technical projects, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and sound technical judgment.

Preferred Qualifications
