Project Manager Data Center

Company Description

Our client is a global player in innovative, clean and efficient energy solutions, with its European headquarters in the Amsterdam area. From here, the organization keeps expanding its capabilities in complex high power solutions and a growing product portfolio, strengthening its position in the European market.

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead Key Account client projects in the data center market. You will work directly with clients to keep deliverables within scope and budget. You will also coordinate with colleagues and local partners across EMEA so every part of a project comes together to meet the client's needs.

This role is open to both experienced project managers and driven, more junior professionals who want to grow into project management. If you are an engineer (for example a UPS or electrical engineer) looking to move into project management, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors so projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Define project scope and objectives with stakeholders, and build detailed plans to track progress
  • Manage changes to scope, schedule and cost, and report project performance to management
  • Own the client relationship, apply risk management and maintain strong vendor partnerships
  • Visit project sites regularly across EMEA
  • Maintain complete project documentation and prepare status reports for senior management

What we're looking for

  • Experience in data center projects, ideally in power infrastructure (UPS, batteries, power distribution) or cooling.
  • No data center experience? Then you bring either an electrical engineering background or solid project management experience in a related technical or infrastructure field.
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude and a strong drive to learn and develop
  • Willingness to travel: on site about once or twice a month.
  • Excellent command of English; other European languages are a plus
  • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills, and strong organizational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus

What we offer

  • A salary of up to €80,000 per year, including holiday allowance, depending on experience
  • Relocation support for candidates moving to the Netherlands
  • Visa sponsorship available
  • A pool car and travel arranged for project visits
  • The chance to grow within an international company in a fast-growing market
