Chief RF Engineer – RF / Antennas / Microwave

I’m recruiting for a specialist engineering organisation looking to appoint a Chief RF Engineer to lead its RF and antenna engineering capability.
This is a senior technical authority role covering RF, microwave and millimetre-wave antenna development, from concept and EM simulation through to testing, verification and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead RF and antenna design and development
- Act as technical/design authority across complex engineering programmes
- Lead EM modelling and simulation using CST or similar tools
- Oversee antenna testing, verification and qualification
- Lead design reviews and technical sign-off
- Mentor engineers and support technical strategy
Key Skills
- Extensive experience in RF, microwave or antenna engineering
- Strong antenna design and electromagnetic theory knowledge
- CST Microwave Studio or equivalent EM simulation experience
- Practical experience with VNAs and antenna measurement
- Experience taking products from concept through to production
- Previous technical leadership, Principal or Design Authority experience
Experience within defence, aerospace, secure communications or other high-reliability environments would be advantageous.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
