Description About Texas Regional Physicians Texas Regional Physicians (TRP) is a physician-led, multi-specialty medical group serving communities throughout the greater Houston area. TRP operates a network of hospital-affiliated practices, outpatient imaging centers, and ambulatory surgical facilities, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a broad range of specialties. We are committed to fostering a collegial, physician-driven practice culture that supports clinical autonomy, professional growth, and a sustainable work-life balance. Position Summary Texas Regional Physicians is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Radiologist with subspecialty expertise in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) to join our growing team in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnostic interpretation of musculoskeletal imaging studies and/or perform image-guided minimally invasive procedures, depending on area of subspecialty focus. This role offers a mix of diagnostic reading, procedural work, and consultative collaboration with referring physicians across TRP's network of hospital and outpatient imaging sites. Key Responsibilities • Interpret musculoskeletal imaging studies, including X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound, for trauma, sports injuries, degenerative disease, and oncologic conditions (MSK track). • Perform image-guided musculoskeletal procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, and biopsies, as applicable. • Perform minimally invasive, image-guided interventional procedures including vascular access, angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainages, and ablations (IR track). • Provide pre- and post-procedure consultation, including risk assessment and follow-up care coordination for IR patients. • Deliver timely, accurate diagnostic reports and communicate critical findings to referring physicians in accordance with TRP protocols. • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, oncologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists to guide diagnosis and treatment planning. • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case conferences, and quality review as applicable. • Maintain compliance with ACR imaging standards, radiation safety protocols, and TRP clinical guidelines. • Participate in on-call rotation for emergent imaging and/or procedural coverage as assigned. • Supervise and collaborate with radiology technologists, physician assistants, and trainees as applicable. • Engage in ongoing quality improvement, peer review, and departmental initiatives. Requirements Qualifications • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school. • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program. • Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology and/or Interventional Radiology required. • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology (ABR); CAQ in Interventional Radiology preferred for IR candidates. • Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date). • Current DEA registration. • Eligibility for hospital privileges at TRP-affiliated facilities in the Houston area. • Strong diagnostic acuity and, for IR candidates, proficient procedural/technical skill in image-guided interventions. • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams. Compensation & Benefits • Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including productivity-based incentives. • Partnership/shareholder track available. • Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, and vision insurance. • Retirement plan with employer contribution (401(k) or profit-sharing). • Medical malpractice (occurrence-based) coverage. • Paid time off and CME allowance with dedicated CME days. • Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates. • Access to advanced imaging technology and procedural suites, with full technologist and administrative support. Practice Environment TRP radiologists practice across a network of Houston-area hospitals and outpatient imaging centers equipped with modern diagnostic and interventional technology. The group offers a collaborative, subspecialty-driven practice model with strong referral relationships across orthopedics, oncology, and primary care. Houston offers a low cost of living relative to other major U.S. metro areas, a diverse and vibrant community, excellent schools, and a wide range of cultural, culinary, and outdoor recreational opportunities. How to Apply Interested candidates should submit a current CV, copy of medical license, and a cover letter describing areas of subspecialty interest (MSK and/or IR) to the Texas Regional Physicians Recruitment Team. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule an initial interview. Texas Regional Physicians is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and physicians.
