The Role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Workforce Employability Team has an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Recruitment Assistant to support the delivery of the Scottish Government Parental Employability Programme on a fixed-term basis.

The programme will support parents at risk of poverty to enter, sustain and progress in employment through paid NHS placement opportunities, family-friendly recruitment, wraparound employability support and clear progression routes aligned to workforce need. You will provide dedicated administrative support for the recruitment and onboarding of paid placement candidates, helping to ensure that recruitment activity is well organised, timely, accurate and candidate-centred.

You will also support the wider Workforce Employability Team with programme administration, monitoring information and reporting requirements linked to candidate progress through recruitment and placement stages.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process.   • This is a fixed term post for 12 months
  • The shift pattern for this role has yet to be confirmed
  • This post will consist of agile working; however your main base has also yet to be confirmed

Key Responsibilities

You will provide dedicated administrative support for the recruitment and onboarding of paid placement candidates, ensuring recruitment activity is well organised, timely, accurate and candidate-centred.

You will support the wider Workforce Employability Team with programme administration, monitoring information and reporting requirements linked to candidate progress through recruitment and placement stages. You will manage a varied workload, maintain accurate records and handle information confidentially while contributing to the effective delivery of the Scottish Government Parental Employability Programme.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Experience of working in an administrative or clerical role.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise competing demands.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information appropriately.
  • Experience of recruitment administration would be advantageous.
  • Experience of using Jobtrain would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working within a busy NHS or public sector environment would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
