Employment Type: Permanent/Temporary Full Time or Part Time, 38 hours per week . Temporary roles are available to visa holders, with contracts issued in accordance with visa conditions. Visa holders will be considered where no suitable Australian citizen or permanent resident is identified.

Remuneration: $41.22 - $57.88 per hour + 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to older adults with complex medical, cognitive and functional needs in a specialised acute aged care setting.
  • Work alongside experienced nursing, medical and allied health professionals committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Develop your clinical expertise in the assessment and management of acute illness, delirium, dementia, falls, functional decline and other geriatric syndromes.

You are a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse who is passionate about caring for older people and making a positive difference in their healthcare journey. You combine strong clinical skills with empathy, professionalism and a commitment to delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and quality of life.

  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care to older people, while building meaningful therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
  • Possesses excellent communication and active listening skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Applies sound clinical knowledge, critical thinking and evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients with complex needs.
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment, contributing positively to workplace culture while supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, resilience and adaptability when managing changing clinical priorities and workloads across a rotating roster, while maintaining professionalism, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.

Selection Criteria

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Describe a situation where you provided person-centred care to an older patient with complex health needs. What actions did you take and what was the outcome?
  • Working in an Acute Aged Care Unit requires effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Please provide an example of how you have worked with others to achieve a positive outcome for a patient.
