Job Description Registered Nurse, Pediatric Inpatient Psychiatry, Mental Health This is a full time, long-term position located in Ontario Canada Full Time (1.0) Will consider training for the right candidate Pay as per ONA Relocation assistance up to $4000 depending on distance Nurses who have not worked in Ontario in the last 6 months may qualify for a $10,000 incentive as per government government initiative. The Registered Nurse will be a part of our multidisciplinary team. We offer crisis intervention & multidisciplinary assessments for adolescents with complex and severe mental health issues. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients and families Work as member of our interdisciplinary team Participate in the development and implementation of inpatient programming Offer support/counselling to patients and their families Provide appropriate learning experiences for our patients and their families Offer mentoring and precepting experience to students and new staff Perform “in charge” role when needed **Please note: Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to sponsor for immigration to the USA. Nursing (Current or in Progress) Preferred Certificate in Mental Health Nursing Preferred but will train Experience in paediatric psychiatry Preferred but will train Excellent team work and interpersonal skills Knowledge of mental health legislation, treatment modalities and experience with crisis intervention or other appropriate combinations of education and experience, along with the demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position, may be considered in lieu of stated education and experience.
