Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for variety, professional growth, and the opportunity to work across a wide range of clinical specialties?
The Auckland Hospital Resource Nursing Team is seeking New Zealand-experienced Registered Nurses to join our supportive, dynamic, and fast-paced team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Working within the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), you will play an important role in supporting hospital wards and clinical teams to respond to staffing requirements and changing patient demands. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference across the hospital while developing your clinical skills and experience.
As part of our Resource Nursing Team, you will be allocated to different departments across Auckland Hospital to support periods of increased patient demand and short staffing. No two days are the same, offering you the opportunity to broaden your clinical knowledge, build confidence, and gain valuable experience across a variety of healthcare settings.
You will have the opportunity to work across a range of specialties, including:
- General Medicine
- Emergency Department
- Surgical Services
- Obstetrics and Child Health
- Stroke and Older People's Care

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse in New Zealand, with at least two years of clinical experience.
- Strong nursing assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different clinical settings and respond to changing patient needs.
Comprehensive orientation, ongoing clinical education, and support will be provided to help you develop your competencies and succeed in this role.
