Restaurant & Café Manager Location: Hargeisa, Republic of Somaliland Employment Type: Full-time (2-year contract, renewable) — On-site, Live-in (staff accommodation provided) Salary: USD 700 Net per Month (plus accommodation, meals on duty, flights, visa/work permit, and medical cover) Application Deadline: Sunday, 6th September 2026 About the Role Our client, a new multi-cuisine café and restaurant opening in Hargeisa (Italian, Indian, Chinese cuisine plus a coffee and juice bar), is seeking an experienced and hands-on Restaurant & Café Manager to lead day-to-day operations from launch. The manager will hold full P&L responsibility, oversee cash and stock controls, supervise front-of-house staff, and lead the pre-opening setup of a new multi-cuisine outlet. This role offers the opportunity to build and run a new hospitality operation from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Manage full day-to-day operations of a new multi-cuisine restaurant and café. Hold full P&L responsibility: daily sales reporting, cash control, F&B cost control, supplier ordering, and stock counts. Directly supervise a locally recruited cashier and front-of-house staff. Train the cashier and reconcile daily cash against POS reports. Maintain cash-handling controls and set service standards. Prepare staff rosters and handle guest complaints. Lead pre-opening activities: checklists, SOPs, and menu launch. Operate and maintain competence in POS systems and Excel. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in restaurant/café management. At least 2 years as manager of a multi-cuisine restaurant or coffee house with 15+ staff. Full P&L, cash control, and supplier management experience. Competent in POS systems and Excel. Fluent English. Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel Management (Kenya Utalii College or equivalent) is an added advantage. New-outlet opening experience (pre-opening checklists, SOPs, menu launches) is an added advantage. Handles guest complaints calmly and professionally. Is ready to relocate and live on-site in Hargeisa for a 2-year assignment.
