Community Hospital is a full-service, acute-care hospital, licensed for 60 beds. We are a completely independent, not for profit hospital (no private equity) that serves the Grand Valley of Colorado, which is the largest metropolitan area between Denver and Salt Lake City. In 2024, Community Hospital earned the prestigious 5-star quality rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and was recognized by Becker’s Healthcare as one of Colorado’s top recommended hospitals. In 2025, Community Hospital earned the highly coveted Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ from Healthgrades.
Retina Surgeon Position Highlights:
The Retina Center of Western Colorado is a private Retina Surgery Practice that has served the Western Colorado and Eastern Utah regions for nearly 30 years. With the senior partner of the Retina Center of Western Colorado retiring from practice, Community Hospital is incredibly excited to welcome C. Kiersten Pollard, MD who will be transitioning to Community Hospital from the Retina Center of Western Colorado, where she has supported the retina needs of the region since 2020. As the only full-time retinal surgeon between Denver and Salt Lake City, Dr. Pollard’s practice draws substantially from throughout the region, which is driving our search for an additional retinal surgeon to join Dr. Pollard in practice at Community Hospital.
Position Includes:

- Sign on bonus
- Relocation assistance
- Student loan repayment options
