Is this job info correct?
We're an Irish startup building an AI phone agent for restaurants. It answers the phone when staff can't — takes orders, books tables, answers menu questions, and hands over to a person when it should. Restaurants lose real money every night to calls that ring out during service. We stop that happening.
The product is built and working, and the first restaurants are coming on now. What we need is someone to help us get it in front of a lot more of them.
What you'd actually do
Find and approach restaurants and takeaways across Dublin — in person, by phone, and online. Demo the product to owners. Follow up properly. Help us understand what they care about, what makes them say yes, and what makes them say no.
Alongside that, build our presence: social content, the website, and the case studies that come out of our first customers.
This isn't a role where you're handed a script and a list to work through. You'd be one of the first people in the business, working directly with me, and what you learn in the first month will shape how we sell after that.
Who this suits
Anyone who can sell and wants to do it properly. I'm not filtering on job titles or years of experience.
Final-year students and recent graduates in business, marketing or entrepreneurship are very welcome — this is real commercial experience, not an internship spent formatting slides.
Restaurant or hospitality experience is a genuine advantage. If you've worked a Friday night service, you already understand the problem we solve better than most people I could hire.
What matters: you're comfortable walking into a restaurant and starting a conversation, you follow up without being chased, and you're based in or around Dublin.
Where this goes
I'll be straight about where we are. We're early. There's no marketing budget behind you and no established brand to open doors. The role starts part-time and commission-based, structured so you earn on every restaurant you bring in.
But this is the ground floor of something I intend to build properly. As the business grows, this role grows with it — into a full-time position owning how we sell and who we sell to. The person who helps us win the first fifty restaurants is the person who runs that side of the company afterwards.
For the right person, that includes putting the company in a position to support a long-term move here — visa sponsorship included — once we're trading at the level that allows it. I won't promise a timeline I can't control, and I'd rather say that plainly now than imply otherwise. But it's the direction, and if that's what you're working towards, I'd want to know.
If you want a safe, structured graduate programme, this isn't it. If you want to be genuinely early in something and have that count for something later, it might be.
