About the Role
Our manufacturing client is implementing Critical Manufacturing (CM) MES in Kulim, and we are looking for experienced SAP PP/QM Consultants who have strong knowledge of production and quality processes and are interested in developing their expertise in MES implementation and digital manufacturing.
This is an excellent opportunity for SAP PP/QM professionals who want to expand their career beyond SAP and gain hands-on experience in Critical Manufacturing MES.
👉 Direct Critical Manufacturing MES experience is preferred but NOT mandatory. Structured CM MES training will be provided to suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document production and quality-related requirements.
- Analyze manufacturing, production and quality processes and translate them into system requirements.
- Support Critical Manufacturing MES configuration and implementation.
- Assist with integration between SAP PP/QM, MES and other manufacturing systems.
- Prepare process flows, functional specifications, user stories, data mappings and test scripts.
- Support SAP PP/QM and MES integration and related system processes.
- Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Record, track and retest system defects.
- Support master data validation related to materials, BOMs, routings, work centers and quality processes.
- Support user training, cutover, go-live and hypercare activities.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, IT, SAP and MES teams.
Required SAP Background
Candidates should have hands-on experience in SAP PP and/or SAP QM.
SAP PP experience may include:
- Production Planning
- Production Orders
- BOMs
- Routings
- Work Centers
- MRP
- Production execution
SAP QM experience may include:
- Quality Planning
- Inspection processes
- Inspection Lots
- Quality Inspection
- Quality Notifications
- Quality-related master data
Important: Direct Critical Manufacturing MES experience is NOT mandatory. Candidates with strong SAP PP/QM experience who are willing to learn MES are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 4–7 years of relevant working experience as an SAP PP and/or QM Consultant.
- Practical hands-on experience in SAP PP and/or SAP QM.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and plant operations.
- Experience working on SAP implementation, enhancement, support or transformation projects.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP/system processes.
- Experience in preparing functional documentation and/or test scenarios.
- Good understanding of SAP PP/QM integration with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn Critical Manufacturing MES.
- Willingness to undergo Critical Manufacturing MES training.
- Willingness to work primarily onsite in Kulim, Kedah.
- Availability to support go-live or critical deployment activities when required.
