Santander UK Wholesale Trade Support is looking for a Securitisation and Asset Sales Programme Analyst based out of London, Triton Square.
We're looking for a driven, analytical and proactive Analyst to support the ongoing management and servicing of Santander UK's securitisation, covered bond and asset sales programmes.
Working closely with the manager and wider team, the role will support the day to day administration of established programmes and transactions, including Fosse, Holmes, Covered Bonds and asset sales. You will learn the structures, underlying mortgage and asset populations, transaction requirements and key dependencies, and help ensure activity is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant documentation and controls.
Responsibilities will include supporting cash management and servicing activities, payment calculations and validation, maintenance and analysis of mortgage and asset data, reporting, investigation of breaks and exceptions, and resolution of queries with relevant stakeholders. The role is designed for someone who is willing to learn the specialist product and operational knowledge required while taking increasing ownership as their capability develops.
A key part of the role is simplification and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have practical knowledge of SQL, SAS, Excel/VBA and Python, with the ability and willingness to further develop these skills. They will use technology and data to interrogate information, automate manual activity, strengthen controls and identify opportunities to simplify and improve existing processes.
The role will also provide opportunities to support wider change, analytical and project activity across Wholesale Funding and related teams where the individual's technical and problem solving skills can add value.

- Support the manager and wider team in the ongoing management and servicing of Santander UK's securitisation, covered bond and asset sales programmes, including Fosse, Holmes and Covered Bonds.
- Support the administration of vehicles and transactions, ensuring recurring activities, deliverables and obligations are completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Assist with cash management activities, including calculation, validation and instruction of payments in accordance with contractual waterfall requirements and agreed controls.
- Maintain and analyse mortgage, asset and transaction data, investigating queries, breaks, exceptions and data-quality issues and escalating appropriately.
- Produce, validate and deliver accurate and timely internal and external reporting, maintaining appropriate evidence and audit trails.
- Use SQL, SAS, Excel/VBA, Python and other appropriate tools to interrogate data, identify anomalies, automate manual activity and improve controls and reporting.
- Proactively identify opportunities to simplify and improve existing processes. Work with the manager and stakeholders to design and implement practical enhancements that reduce operational risk and improve efficiency, data quality and scalability.
- Contribute to wider change, automation, analytical and project activity across the team where required, taking a flexible approach to priorities and new areas of work.

Professional Experience
- Practical knowledge of SQL, Excel/VBA and Python is required. This may be at a basic or developing level; expert proficiency is not expected, but candidates must have some hands-on exposure to each and a clear willingness to develop further.(Required)
- Great analytical and problem-solving capability, with an interest in working with data, understanding how processes work and identifying how they can be made simpler, more controlled and more efficient. (Required)
- Good Excel capability and an aptitude for using technology to automate manual tasks, improve controls and develop repeatable reporting or data solutions.(Required)
- Ability to work with large or complex datasets, identify anomalies, breaks and exceptions, investigate root causes and translate findings into clear actions(Required)

- Relevant academic qualification (Required)

Hard Skills
- Excellent analytical and data-handling skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and translate findings into clear and practical actions. (Required)
- Ability to understand business processes and identify opportunities for simplification, automation and process improvement, supporting changes through to implementation. (Required)
- Knowledge or experience of financial markets, securitisation, asset servicing, treasury or a related banking environment, with the ability to develop specialist product knowledge over time. (Preferred)
Soft Skills
- Proactive, curious and keen to learn, with the confidence to ask questions, challenge existing ways of working constructively and suggest improvements. (Required)
