We are seeking an experienced Senior Agronomist with a minimum of 10 years of expertise in blueberry cultivation to support the growth and development of a thriving blueberry sector in the Middle East. This role involves leading technical and agronomic strategies to optimize blueberry production, ensuring high yields and superior fruit quality in challenging climatic conditions. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge, adaptability to new environments, and a willingness to relocate overseas. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement best agronomic practices tailored to blueberry cultivation in arid/semi-arid climates. Provide technical leadership on soil preparation, irrigation management, pest control, and disease prevention. Oversee crop monitoring, nutrition programs, and post-harvest handling to enhance yield and quality. Introduce and apply innovative agricultural technologies, such as controlled-environment farming and precision irrigation. Train and mentor local farm staff, ensuring the adoption of modern agronomic practices. Conduct field trials and research to improve productivity and adaptability of blueberry varieties. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including farm managers, supply chain specialists, and agribusiness stakeholders. Ensure compliance with international food safety and agricultural standards. Requirements Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in blueberry farming, including large-scale commercial operations. Strong technical expertise in soil science, irrigation, integrated pest management (IPM), and plant nutrition. Experience working in diverse climatic conditions, preferably with exposure to warm or arid regions. Ability to implement data-driven farming techniques and use precision agriculture tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in troubleshooting farm challenges. Fluent in English (spoken and written).
