Senior AI/ML Engineer

About the Role

Build the production AI systems behind an enterprise process intelligence platform. You will own the systems that turn complex business data into reliable, useful product experiences.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain Python services and AI pipelines, including retrieval, context construction, model selection, structured extraction, and orchestration.

• Build evaluation datasets, benchmarks, regression tests, guardrails, and launch checks to measure and improve AI quality.

• Monitor production systems and address latency, cost, failures, and debugging needs.

• Improve AI features using direct customer feedback and diagnose issues across data, models, and user-facing behavior.

• Lead projects from design through deployment, making pragmatic decisions about shipping, refactoring, and technical debt.

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in applied AI, ML engineering, or production software, with sustained ownership of shipped systems.

• Strong Python skills, including async services, and experience integrating AI and ML tooling into production products.

• Hands-on experience with RAG, retrieval, vector search, or agent orchestration, plus AI evaluations, benchmarks, or CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Go, TypeScript, GCP, Docker, Terraform, and hosted language model APIs.

• A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, and strong technical fundamentals.

• Experience working at an early-stage startup or in a combination of startup and larger-company environments; multimodal data experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $180,000 to $275,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in San Francisco, California.
