About the Role
Join an applied AI team building the systems layer for an enterprise process intelligence platform. You will turn complex customer data into reliable, useful product capabilities powered by hosted language models.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain production Python services and AI pipelines, including asynchronous workflows, observability, retries, and failure handling.
Develop retrieval, context construction, structured extraction, and multi-step orchestration systems using hosted AI models.
Create evaluation datasets, benchmarks, regression tests, guardrails, and fallback paths to measure and improve AI quality.
Trace system behavior from raw customer data through generated outputs, and use monitoring and debugging to improve production performance.
Work directly with customers, incorporate their feedback, and own projects from design through deployment and ongoing improvement.
Make practical build-versus-buy and refactoring decisions while managing technical debt.
What We're Looking For
4 to 10 years of experience in applied AI, ML engineering, or production software, with sustained ownership of customer-facing systems.
A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong Python skills, experience with asynchronous services, and familiarity with a typed language such as Go, C++, Java, Scala, or C.
Hands-on experience with production LLM systems, RAG or retrieval, agent orchestration, and AI evaluations or benchmarks.
Experience with tools and technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, React, TypeScript, GCP, Terraform, Docker, Datadog, vector search, and hosted model APIs.
Clear customer communication, end-to-end systems thinking, and a pragmatic approach to shipping reliable improvements.
Experience with document understanding or multimodal data is a plus.
