About the Role
Join a collaborative civil litigation practice as an attorney with the autonomy to manage cases from intake through settlement or trial. You will work closely with paralegals and experienced colleagues while handling a varied caseload across employment law, school law, and general civil litigation.
What You'll Do
Manage civil litigation cases from initiation through settlement or trial.
Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery, and take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and third parties.
Attend hearings, argue motions, and prepare for and conduct bench and jury trials.
Meet with clients to develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlement agreements.
Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy in an in-person practice.
What We're Looking For
At least 6 years of civil litigation experience, including motion practice, discovery, and independent caseload management.
A J.D. from an accredited law school and active Washington State Bar membership in good standing, or the ability to obtain it.
Strong legal writing and experience drafting and arguing motions through summary judgment.
Experience taking and defending depositions, with trial experience as first or second chair preferred.
A self-directed approach and readiness to take cases through trial with minimal supervision.
Background in employment law, school law, insurance defense, or general civil litigation is relevant.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $150,000 to $200,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in Seattle, Washington. This role requires working in the office daily.
