Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the Role

Join a backend engineering team at a consumer gaming technology company, building systems and features that support the core business. You will have substantial ownership, work across the engineering stack, and help deliver projects that make a measurable impact.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship consumer-facing backend features that support business goals.

• Develop data-driven systems for challenges such as matchmaking and fraud prevention.

• Improve engineering processes and tools, including experimentation platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

• Take projects from planning through delivery and seek opportunities to expand your impact.

What We're Looking For

• Five to eight years of backend software engineering experience, ideally in a fast-growing startup or a high-engineering-bar environment.

• Proficiency in Go, or the ability and willingness to ramp up quickly; experience with Kubernetes and GCP is relevant.

• Experience owning and shipping consumer-facing backend features end to end, with measurable business impact.

• Background building data-driven systems such as matchmaking, anti-fraud, recommendation engines, or similar products.

• Hands-on experience improving CI/CD pipelines or experimentation platforms.

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent strong technical fundamentals.

• Comfort working with autonomy, taking on responsibility, and adapting to a fast-moving team.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $200,000 to $400,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
