Job Description: As the Commercial Manager you will support the Head of Commercial in developing the strategy and plans at an Enterprise level, which will be focussed on the future state(s) of the AUKUS programme and helping drive Collaboration between the UK and Australia whilst developing opportunities and delivering growth for the Submarines Business Unit. The role will suit a Commercial Executive experienced in Alliances and/or Collaborative Enterprises with a broad commercial knowledge of BAE Systems commercial practices and with a particular interest in business winning and innovation in a fast paced and exciting global environment. Core duties: Development and implementation of the commercial Capability Pathway strategy & documentation (the Capability Pathway being the route to knowledge and know-how transfer from the UK to Australia) Supporting the Head of Commercial and wider teams developing the Joint Venture Company artefacts & governance Developing and Pursuing business winning opportunities for the Submarines Business Unit Working collaboratively with Australia and helping to embed a One Team culture across the Commercial departments Maintaining commercial integrity through strong governance and adherence to both company and regulatory requirements Essential Skills: Experience in BAE Systems Commercial process and contracting strategies Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build enduring and productive relationships with key stakeholders Ability to work across a complex Industrial landscape and building teams across a Global enterprise Flexible and willing to undertake international travel as required The AUKUS Commercial team: A great opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial team at Submarines on the AUKUS programme, one of the most exciting programmes in the Defence Industry today. . Working with the Commercial and wider programme teams both in the UK and Australia, the role will support the Development of the Australian business entities (including the formation of a new Joint Venture company) and the transfer of commercial knowledge and know-how to Australia to enable them to manage contracts and risk, whilst delivering SSNA Submarines.
