About the Role
Own the computer vision and perception pipeline for an industrial inventory measurement system. You will turn stereo camera data into accurate, auditable 3D pile measurements, working across research, engineering, and production deployment.
What You'll Do
Build and improve stereo reconstruction, depth estimation, segmentation, and point-cloud processing pipelines.
Integrate computer vision models and evaluate reconstruction quality and measurement accuracy.
Develop calibration assumptions, ground-plane estimation, point-cloud cleanup, stitching, and volume calculation methods.
Analyze failure modes in real-world sensor data and develop confidence metrics for measurements.
Move research workflows toward reliable, production-ready systems.
What We're Looking For
At least 4 years of experience in computer vision or perception machine learning engineering.
An MS or PhD in computer vision, robotics, or a related field.
Experience shipping computer vision systems based on real-world sensor data.
Strong Python and PyTorch skills, with experience using OpenCV, Open3D, and 3D geometry.
Hands-on experience with stereo vision, depth estimation, camera calibration, point clouds, and 3D reconstruction, including volume measurement.
Experience with segmentation models; CUDA, robotics perception, SLAM, photogrammetry, industrial inspection, or GPU cloud platforms is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $180,000 to $245,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California, United States.
