Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join a fast-growing technology team developing next-generation AI-powered business intelligence solutions.

This role is designed for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex backend and data infrastructure challenges. You will build and scale large data pipelines, develop high-performance backend systems, and help create the technical foundation that supports advanced analytical and AI-powered products.

Working closely with engineering teams, product leaders, company founders, and customers, you will have meaningful influence over technical architecture, infrastructure decisions, and product development.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience building scalable data systems and a passion for developing reliable, efficient, and high-impact technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale large-scale data pipelines supporting latency-sensitive analytical workloads.
• Develop secure, cost-efficient, reliable, and highly scalable backend systems.
• Build and maintain backend applications and services using Python and TypeScript.
• Work across the product and codebase, contributing directly to critical engineering initiatives.
• Develop and optimize data infrastructure to support complex analytical and business intelligence workloads.
• Identify and resolve challenging backend, performance, scalability, and data engineering problems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product leaders, company founders, and customers.
• Contribute to technical architecture, product strategy, and engineering roadmap decisions.
• Establish engineering standards, development practices, and scalable technical infrastructure.
• Help improve system reliability, performance, maintainability, and long-term platform scalability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience building or maintaining large-scale data pipelines.
• Background in product engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, system design, and problem-solving.
• Experience working with complex, data-intensive, or scalable software systems.
• Ability to work hands-on across a production codebase.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in the San Mateo Bay Area or relocate to the area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a fast-growing startup or engineering-focused technology company.
• Experience designing and operating scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
• Experience building analytical platforms, data-intensive applications, or AI-powered products.
• Experience collaborating directly with product teams, technical leadership, company founders, and customers.
• Strong academic background in a relevant technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex technical projects and deliver results.

Work Schedule & Location

• Full-time hybrid position based in San Mateo, California.
• Minimum of four days per week in the office.
• Remaining workday may be completed remotely.
• Candidates must be able to work in the Bay Area or relocate to the San Mateo area.

Compensation & Equity

• Annual Base Compensation: $250,000–$300,000.
• Competitive equity package.
• Compensation will depend on relevant experience, technical expertise, and qualifications.

Visa sponsorship may be considered on a case-by-case basis, including TN visas and eligible H-1B transfers.
