Location: San Francisco Bay Area, Peninsula. On-site, five days a week.
Type: Full time
Compensation: $160,000 to $220,000 cash, plus equity on a 4-year vest with a 1-year cliff. Relocation support provided.
About the company
Our client is a venture-backed voice AI company building AI agents that handle the sales, support and logistics calls enterprise contact centers once staffed with large human teams. Thousands of companies run on the platform, including Fortune 500 names in healthcare, travel and technology. Revenue has grown more than tenfold since the start of 2025 with a team of about 50, and the company was recently ranked the top place to work in the Bay Area by a major business publication.
Their 2026 goal is a full CX platform where AI workers act as frontline agents, QA analysts and managers, improving every customer interaction rather than waiting for a human to retune them.
About the role
The company is hiring its first Senior Deal Desk Manager to design how it prices, approves and closes enterprise deals. This role reports directly to the founder and works daily with Sales, Finance and Legal. Their usage-based pricing is still taking shape, which means the deals structured in this seat will shape it.
What this hire owns
Fast, profitable deal approvals from quote to cash.
- Structure and approve non-standard deals (discounts, usage commits, per-minute pricing, payment terms) in hours rather than days
- Build the discount approval matrix and pricing guardrails, and model deal margin before every approval
- Run quote-to-cash across CRM, CPQ, the Legal handoff and billing
- Report weekly on cycle time, discount levels and win rate, and automate approvals where possible
What they are looking for
Must have:
- 4+ years in deal desk, pricing, or sales and revenue operations at a B2B SaaS company
- Experience owning an end-to-end enterprise process for deals over $300K (required)
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce or HubSpot plus a CPQ tool
- Experience at a VC-backed SaaS or AI company, or at a large SaaS or big tech company
Nice to have:
- Usage-based or consumption pricing experience
- Built a deal desk function from scratch
- SQL or scripting to automate reporting and approvals
How they evaluate
Less about checkboxes, more about:
- Commercial judgment on real deal scenarios
- Accuracy in pricing and margin models
- Calm, clear decisions under end-of-quarter pressure
- Ability to influence Sales, Finance and Legal
Interview process
Four rounds: a recruiter screen, a deal review call, a hiring manager interview, and a two-hour onsite with a pricing model exercise, a deal simulation, and a cross-functional conversation with Legal and Finance.
Benefits
100% medical, dental and vision coverage, a daily meal credit, and monthly wellness, commuter, phone and internet reimbursements. The company sponsors work authorization for qualified candidates.
