Job location: Hai Phong City - Monthly housing support for candidate who is willing to relocate to Hai Phong.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all products are developed and engineered coordinating with Design, Materials, and Product Teams
• Understand and own the Development process, covering product feasibility, critical path creation, technical specification creation, product engineering, cost-value target optimization and manufacturability
• Has a good understanding of supplier timelines (e.g. mold, last, component delivery) and plans projects with respect to these timelines
• Prepare product specifications and maintains data to support effective product development translation at overseas vendors
• Review daily of any special request on products with the factory team. Ensures all issues are highlighted and resolved quickly and satisfactorily
• Update all development tracking reports including samples, tooling, materials delivery, etc.
• Ensure Product Team are kept up to date with their projects
• Provide technical input into projects to ensure that the Brand provides premium quality to its customers
• Analyze price quotations from suppliers by collaborating with Costing and Sourcing teams to minimize product cost
• Ensure all projects are developed so as to meet the critical path for development and production
• Conduct detailed risk analysis on all products. Ensures potential risks are properly checked against the Lacoste testing standards
• Process all SMU requests with the same thoroughness as with inline products with a special focus on SMU timeline
• Assist in the timely delivery of samples at all stages of development; thoroughly inspects samples to ensure they meet required quality standards; co-ordinates on shipping documentation

Qualifications:

• More than 5 years’ technical knowledge and experience in product development, preferably with major international footwear brands
• Good knowledge and experience in blueprint reading, pattern making, construction, materials, and components usage for relevant product categories
• Solid knowledge in injection molding and plastic
• Vendor evaluation in terms of product
• Able to follow through development process on his/her own
• Proficient in testing and quality standards of relevant products
• Experienced in managing relevant product development timelines
• Experienced in working with manufacturers in our operating locations
• Can-do attitude, while willing and able to comeup with practical solutions when problems arise
• Ability to self-manage, prioritise and multi-task
• Ability to work both independently & as part of a team
• Experienced in working effectively across multiple functions in a global business
• Strong communications skills in a multi-cultural environment
• PC literate: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Knowledge of Mandarin would be useful, but not essential
