Senior Electrical Engineer (m/w/d) — InLoop Robotics (YC P26), Garching bei München

We are looking for an electrical engineer who wants to see their designs run in the real world, and quickly.

Every week another InLoop robot goes live in a customer warehouse. It takes us 20 minutes from the truck until our robot packs its first order. You will own the electrical side of that robot: harnesses, power, boards and the safety circuit.

What we build

InLoop builds robotic arms that pick and pack e-commerce orders. We design the whole robot ourselves, hardware and autonomy, and run it in real warehouses. Customers pay a monthly fee instead of buying a $100K+ integration project. We are a Y Combinator company (Spring 2026), a team of 10 people, based at GATE Garching.

What you will own

  • Cabling through moving joints: cable choice, routing, flex life, strain relief, abrasion. This is the main reason we are hiring.
  • Arm wiring, from cable and connector selection to building the first sets.
  • Power: supply, fusing and distribution, motor regeneration, ESD and grounding.
  • The safety circuit: e-stop and safety chain to ISO 13849 and IEC 60204-1, independent of the AI, owned by you through CE.
  • A custom NVIDIA Jetson Orin carrier board with GMSL2 cameras, power, CAN and I/O.
  • Production test: the electrical checks every robot passes before it leaves the line.

Where you might come from

Robotics, industrial automation, automotive, e-mobility, machinery or medical devices all work. If you have built electrics for machines that move, the problems here will feel familiar: cables that flex millions of times, a safety chain that has to pass an audit, CAN, EMC, and a test every unit must pass before it ships.

What you bring

  • 3+ years designing electrical systems for things that move: vehicles, robot arms, mobile robots or actuated machines.
  • Harnesses through moving parts, and knowledge of how they fail.
  • PCB design and bench bring-up (KiCad or Altium).
  • DC and motor power, and protection circuits.
  • Safety or e-stop work that passed an assessment or audit.
  • Design for production, not just prototypes. You can also solder, crimp and read mechanical CAD.

Nice to have: Jetson carrier boards, GMSL2, CAN and Ethernet debugging, EMC pre-compliance, Li-ion and BMS, embedded Linux, a driving licence. German is welcome but not required; we work in English.

What you get

  • €60K–€90K salary plus 0.10%–0.50% equity.
  • Your designs on robots in production within weeks, not years.
  • A small team that builds and ships every week, next to TUM in Garching.
  • On-site role. EU Blue Card support and paid relocation if you move to Munich.

How to apply

Apply here and attach photos or files of one board or harness you designed and built. Tell us in two lines what broke and how you fixed it.
