Our client is a tier-one Global Investment Bank experiencing aggressive global expansion. As part of their strategic growth, they are looking for a high-caliber Senior Java Developer to join their Electronic Trading Solutions team.

This role offers a direct line of engagement with Front Office business users, traders, and quants, providing an elite platform to take full ownership of new initiatives and shape the architecture of the bank’s next-generation Asian equities execution platform.


Key Responsibilities

  • Front Office Collaboration: Work closely with traders, quantitative strategists, and desk leads to gather requirements, design, and deliver high-throughput, low-latency electronic trading solutions.
  • Platform Architecture & Development: End-to-end design and development of equity order management workflows.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize system performance, memory management, and execution latency across Asian equity markets.
  • Initiative Ownership: Lead new architectural initiatives, automated testing frameworks, and continuous delivery capabilities from conception to production deployment.



Key Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of strong hands-on development experience using Core Java (multithreading, low latency, high concurrency, and performance tuning).
  • Domain Knowledge: Proven background in Front Office electronic trading is highly preferred, but also open candidates with experience working in a global financial services firms.
  • Trading Protocols: Strong expertise in FIX Protocol, Market Data feed handlers, Order Management Systems (OMS), and Asian Equity Market microstructure.
  • Tech Stack: Proficiency in Linux environments, messaging middleware, SQL/NoSQL databases, and scripting languages (Python/Shell).
  • Education & Mindset: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, or related discipline. Proactive, self-driven, with excellent direct business stakeholder communication skills.


Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Java GUI frameworks.
  • Exposure to modern distributed platforms, in-memory grids, data engineering, or quantitative analytics frameworks.
