About the Role Coleman Company, Inc. is seeking an energetic, creative, and highly motivated Landscape Architect to lead our Landscape Architecture group in Savannah, GA. This leadership role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a passion for design excellence, collaboration, and client service. The Landscape Architecture Leader will guide the vision, quality, and growth of the practice while working closely with planners, civil engineers, and survey teams to deliver exceptional design solutions. This individual will be responsible for the design, documentation, and management of a wide range of project types including single-family residential, multifamily, master planning, hospitality/resort, commercial, industrial, and public works. The role also includes significant involvement in marketing, business development, and client relationship management. What we’re looking For We’re seeking a Georgia-licensed Landscape Architect with strong leadership and communication skills, a passion for high-quality design, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is a true collaborator—someone who can mentor team members, develop strong relationships with clients and agencies, and elevate the design culture within the firm. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow the Landscape Architecture group while fostering a positive, creative, and collaborative team environment. Oversee design development, technical documentation, and project management across a diverse range of project types. Coordinate closely with planning, civil engineering, and survey teams to deliver cohesive and efficient project solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, consultants, and design partners. Manage and contribute to the preparation of planning, schematic design (SD), design development (DD), and construction document (CD) deliverables. Prepare and lead project presentations in both public and private settings, including design review boards, entitlement processes, and community meetings. Guide projects efficiently through permitting, bidding, and construction administration phases. Support marketing and business development efforts to help grow the practice. Apply strong plant knowledge, construction methods, and cost considerations to ensure buildable, high-quality landscapes. Maintain high standards of graphic quality through both digital and hand-drawn illustrations. Qualifications Georgia Licensed Landscape Architect (required). Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide production teams. Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills across diverse audiences. Proven experience working collaboratively with city/county planning departments, public works agencies, neighborhood groups, developers, and design partners. Strong design and graphic capabilities—digital and hand-drawn. Solid project management and client management skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines. Strong working knowledge of plant materials, trees, and groundcover selections (code requirements + aesthetics). Understanding construction costs and ability to design within project budgets. Technical knowledge of landscape construction methods. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office. Experience in both master planning and landscape architecture project types. Experience leading projects through design review, entitlement, and public approval processes is highly desired.
