About the role
As our Quality Assurance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in embedding quality throughout the entire lifecycle of product deliveries for VentureOne, covering both project quality and quality assurance management responsibilities. You'll ensure that every product delivery meets rigorous quality standards, drives continuous improvement, and reaches its full potential while maintaining the highest levels of compliance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of quality strategies and management systems, ensuring alignment with our mission, objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- ISO 9001 Ownership: Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, including leading certification and surveillance audits.
- Product Delivery Quality Management: In close collaboration with projects managers, develop projects quality plans, oversee quality planning, control, and assurance activities across multiple product deliveries simultaneously for Venture One Commercial Services, from inception to completion, ensuring conformance of processes and deliverables, and successful outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with diverse teams, including product owners, developers, manufacturing engineers to embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Risk & Nonconformance Management: Identify potential quality risks, drive root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate risk and ensure successful product delivery.
- Supplier & Vendor Quality: Establish and monitor quality requirements with external vendors, contract manufacturers, and technology partners, including supplier audits and qualification processes.
- Audits & Compliance: Plan and conduct internal audits, manage external audits, and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Metrics & Reporting: Define and track quality KPIs (e.g., defect rates, CAPA closure, customer complaints), and report on quality performance to leadership and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a supportive and quality-driven community.
- Training & Culture: Develop and deliver quality-related training programs to build organizational awareness and capability around quality standards and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or similar).
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in quality management in an innovation and/or industry environment.
- Proven track record leading and implementing ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, including successful certification/recertification audits.
- Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) strongly preferred; ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM, CMQ/OE) a plus.
- Proven experience taking products from prototype to industrial-scale production while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, quality systems, and supply chain operations.
- Experience working with external vendors, contract manufacturers, and technology partners on quality requirements and audits.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies: FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, CAPA, Six Sigma/Lean preferred.
- Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous, or venture/start-up environments is highly desirable.
- Fluent Arabic is a plus.
