Right now, we need to strengthen our regional marketing team with a Senior Manager, Retail Marketing - China who will lead the development and execution of retail marketing strategies that elevate brand visibility, drive consumer engagement, and increase retail sales across the China market. This role is ideal for a commercially minded marketing leader with deep knowledge of music, fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle trends in China. Roles & Responsibilities: Retail Marketing Strategy • Develop and execute China retail marketing strategies aligned with global brand direction and China Consumer Plan • Work closely with Senior Manager Retail Operations and BD to ensure Retail Channel drives foot traffic, conversion, and customer engagement • Support in-store launch and activations for seasonal launches, collaborations, product drops, and cultural and commercial campaigns. Programming & Activations • Lead in-store music-driven marketing initiatives including live events, DJ sessions, artist appearances, and community activations. • Work closely with China Culture Marketing, PR and Media teams to amplify brand storytelling and cultural relevance. • Develop Visual Merchandising to ensure impactful in-store brand experiences. • Oversee retail campaign rollouts, window displays, POS materials, and experiential installations. • Ensure consistency of brand identity across all retail touch points. • Collaborate with e-commerce and digital teams to integrate online and offline customer journeys. • Support campaigns across platforms such as WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Tmall. • Drive CRM, loyalty, and member engagement programs with China Loyalty team • Analyse campaign performance and optimise marketing effectiveness using data insights. • Manage retail marketing budgets and campaign ROI tracking. • Deliver regular performance reports and market insights to senior leadership. • Monitor competitor activity and retail marketing trends in China. • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You probably have the following experiences & skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Fashion, Tech, Music Business, or related field. • 8–10+ years of experience in retail marketing, experiential marketing and store roll out with franchising partners. • Strong understanding of China consumer culture, music scene, and lifestyle trends. • Experience working with tech, music, fashion, streetwear, entertainment, or lifestyle brands preferred. • Proven experience managing integrated campaigns and retail activations. • Strong network within China’s creative, music, or influencer ecosystem is a plus. • Prove experience building retail marketing teams in China • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
