About the Role
Join the platform team at an AI agent company to build the systems that bring research and product workflows into reliable production. You will work across infrastructure, backend services, and developer tooling, helping teams build, deploy, and scale agent workloads.
What You'll Do
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure, storage, CI/CD, observability, and security for research and production environments.
Build internal developer tools, automation, and shared libraries that improve team productivity.
Develop reliable systems for data management, model experimentation, evaluation, and deployment.
Own build, test, and release workflows that support the path from prototype to production.
Monitor service and pipeline performance, and work with research and product teams to resolve bottlenecks and improve reproducibility.
Help shape platform architecture for agent hosting, availability, security, networking, and scaling.
What We're Looking For
Five to twelve years of backend or platform engineering experience, with senior or staff-level individual contributor scope and hands-on coding.
Experience building a customer-facing product platform from the ground up, ideally for LLM or agent workloads, and working across both large technology organizations and early-stage startups or research environments.
Strong backend engineering skills in Python or Go, including APIs, databases and storage, and distributed systems.
Working experience with Kubernetes and a major cloud provider, such as AWS or Google Cloud.
Production experience with LLM or agent serving, orchestration, memory, tool use, or evaluation.
Strong computer science fundamentals and a degree in computer science or another technical STEM field.
Familiarity with data pipelines, job scheduling, or ML experimentation workflows is helpful.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $200,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
This is an on-site role based in Palo Alto, California, United States.
