THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy and troubleshoot the networks that connect Cotidal’s AI infrastructure. You will carry network designs into production, working across data center fabrics, enterprise networks, backbone connectivity and the performance demands of AI/HPC workloads.

You will bring deep hands-on Juniper experience, RDMA/RoCEv2 expertise and network security skills. Working with AI infrastructure, compute, storage and platform engineering teams, you will independently design, implement and diagnose complex infrastructure, and build the automation and monitoring needed to support it.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, deploy and operate large-scale AI/HPC and data center networks. Build and maintain spine-leaf fabrics using BGP, EVPN and VXLAN.

• Configure and troubleshoot Juniper MX, QFX and EX routing and switching platforms, and support data center interconnects, backbone routing and high-bandwidth connectivity.

• Support high-performance GPU cluster networking over Ethernet-based RDMA/RoCEv2. Investigate congestion, packet loss, latency, ECMP behavior and RDMA performance issues.

• Configure and manage Palo Alto and Juniper SRX firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs and high availability.

• Work across compute, storage, platform and AI infrastructure teams to deliver and troubleshoot the network as part of the wider system.

• Develop network automation and monitoring solutions that support deployment, operation and troubleshooting.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 10–15 years of professional networking experience, including designing, deploying and troubleshooting large-scale data center and enterprise networks.

• Strong hands-on and production experience with Juniper Junos and Juniper MX/QFX routing and switching platforms.

• Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN and ECMP, and experience with 100G/400G/800G Ethernet networks.

• An understanding of GPU cluster networking and spine-leaf fabric architecture, plus experience with RDMA, RoCEv2, Priority Flow Control (PFC), ECN and QoS.

• Knowledge of low-latency, high-throughput networking and congestion management, and familiarity with NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet, InfiniBand or AMD GPU infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto next-generation firewalls and Juniper SRX, including firewall policies, routing, NAT, IPsec VPNs and high-availability configurations.

• Experience with Python, Ansible or other network automation tools, plus strong troubleshooting skills using packet captures, telemetry and network monitoring tools.

• Experience with Linux networking and TCP/IP, and the ability to independently design, implement and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure.

ESPECIALLY VALUABLE

Experience in one or more of the following:

• Hyperscale data centers, cloud providers or AI infrastructure environments.

• NVIDIA NCCL, RDMA performance tuning and distributed GPU workloads.

• Arista EOS and SONiC.

• Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE or equivalent certifications.
