Role: Senior Product Engineer

Location: New York City Metropolitan Area (on-site, no relocation support)

The problem

Our infrastructure processes millions of tokens per minute across 100,000+ parallel agents. You'll work on problems that only show up at this scale:

• Preventing race conditions when 10^5 agents write to a shared data model at once
• Streaming agent outputs in real time across every service to the client
• Optimizing write throughput and in-memory footprint per agent

You'll own large pieces of the product end to end, from design through production, and help define how knowledge workers use AI.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and ship backend and distributed-systems code that powers the core product
• Take a whole project as the primary IC and drive it to production
• Work across the stack, with a backend and distributed-systems lean
• Be the go-to person for debugging hard problems
• Explain complex concepts clearly and help the team align on hard decisions

What we're looking for

• 5+ years as a software engineer
• A record as the primary IC on several medium to large projects
• Production experience designing, deploying, and managing distributed services (Go, C++, or similar)
• Visible technical depth, such as custom indexing, concurrency, or low-level systems work, not just business impact
• A hands-on builder profile, with a strong, upward career trajectory at top-tier engineering teams or high-growth startups
• Seen by peers as a resource for debugging and answering questions

Bonus points

• Big tech followed by high-growth startup experience
• Experience with Go, Redis, PubSub, RPC, Postgres, S3, or Temporal
• Product-led work, strong competitive programming results, or original code you can show
