As a key member of the Civil Construction leadership team, the Senior Project Manager will be based in the company's main office and lead efforts to strengthen project delivery and overall performance. This position provides strategic oversight of the project management team, ensuring the company's project portfolio is planned, financially optimized , and effectively managed through out the full project lifecycle. This senior leadership role requires extensive heavy civil construction experience and a proven track record of leading complex projects. The successful candidate brings sound judgment, makes confident decisions in fast-paced environments, and demonstrates strong operational and financial discipline. Working closely with executive leadership, field teams, and key stakeholders, the Senior Project Manager will manage risk, enhance project performance, and support the company's continued growth and long-term success. RESPONSIBLITIES Oversee project performance across assigned projects by aligning execution strategies, operational priorities, and financial objectives. Evaluate project opportunities, performance, risks, and challenges to support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes. Oversee forecasting, budgeting, cost control , and financial reporting processes to strengthen project visibility and financial performanc e. Establish and refine project management processes, systems, and best practices to improve consistency and scalability. Mentor and develop p roject m anagers and p roject e ngineers through coaching, guidance, and professional development. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, and industry partners to support long-term growth and repeat business. Partner with executive leadership and operations teams to align project strategy, drive initiatives, and identify opportunities to enhance organizational performance. REQUIREMENTS 10+ years of construction project management experience, preferably within heavy civil construction. 3+ years of proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing construction professionals, project teams, or emerging leaders. Experience managing large-scale heavy civil, highway, earthwork, or infrastructure projects with accountability for delivery, schedule, cost, risk, and project results. Strong understanding of construction means, methods, production planning, equipment utilization , and field execution strategies. F inancial acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and project profitability. Demonstrated knowledge of construction contracts, change management, project controls , and risk management practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
