Senior RF / Electronics Engineer – Mixed-Signal & PCB Design
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Employment Type: Full-time | Permanent
Relocation Opportunity
The Opportunity
We're partnering with a leading advanced technology and engineering organisation in Abu Dhabi that is building a specialist team to develop next-generation spaceborne radar and sensing technologies.
As part of a major programme focused on developing advanced satellite payload capabilities, we're looking for a Senior RF / Electronics Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing complex mixed-signal electronics and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging hardware, contribute to the development of sophisticated electronic systems and play an important role in establishing long-term engineering and design capabilities.
You'll join an international team of experienced engineers, working in an environment that encourages technical ownership, innovation and collaboration.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop and test complex mixed-signal electronic circuits and PCBs, integrating analogue, digital, RF and power electronics.
- Work on high-performance electronic hardware incorporating FPGAs, processors and associated interfaces.
- Take ownership of electronic designs from initial concept and schematic capture through PCB development, integration, testing and verification.
- Select electronic components and develop schematics, circuit diagrams, bills of materials and technical documentation.
- Perform circuit simulation, hardware debugging and performance optimisation.
- Work closely with RF, embedded software, systems and mechanical engineers to ensure hardware compatibility and integration.
- Support design reviews, troubleshooting, verification activities and technical problem-solving.
- Contribute to the improvement and future development of advanced electronic subsystems.
- Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to junior engineers.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in complex electronic hardware and PCB design.
- Strong experience in mixed-signal electronics, including analogue and digital circuitry.
- Practical experience designing PCBs incorporating high-speed digital interfaces, FPGA-based electronics, RF circuitry or power systems.
- Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, SPICE or similar.
- Experience with electronic component selection, schematic design, board bring-up, debugging and hardware verification.
- A solid understanding of electronic interfaces, signal integrity and hardware integration.
- The ability to take technical ownership of designs and work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Desirable, but not essential:
- Experience developing radar, RF sensing or high-frequency electronic systems.
- Exposure to aerospace, satellite systems, defence electronics or other high-reliability applications.
- Familiarity with space hardware qualification, environmental testing or ECSS standards.
- Experience with ADC/DAC interfaces, FPGA-based processing systems or high-speed data acquisition.
Previous space-sector experience is not essential. We're particularly interested in engineers who have designed technically complex electronic systems and can apply that expertise to new applications.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This isn't simply an opportunity to work on another established engineering programme.
You'll be joining a team developing a new technical capability, with the opportunity to influence future designs, contribute to innovative research and take meaningful ownership of complex engineering challenges.
The organisation offers an international working environment, access to advanced engineering facilities and the opportunity to work on ambitious technology programmes with long-term development potential.
The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, offering an attractive tax-free employment environment and an international relocation opportunity.
Interested?
If you're an experienced electronics engineer who enjoys hands-on design, solving complex technical problems and working with advanced technologies, we'd be interested in speaking with you.
Apply with your CV or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
Applications from suitably qualified international candidates are welcome.
