We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a well-funded enterprise AI company modernizing insurance claims. The business has raised more than $50M and is scaling a platform that combines AI agents, document understanding, computer vision, sensor data, and workflow automation. The system is already processing thousands of claims for major insurers and enterprise operators.

You will own complex systems across both the core platform and strategic deployments. The role is ideal for a senior IC who wants direct customer context, broad technical scope, and the chance to define engineering standards while remaining close to code.

Location: San Francisco Mission office, on-site Monday through Friday
Comp Range: $165K to $250K base plus competitive equity
Stage: Growth stage, more than $50M raised
Stack: Python, APIs, LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic AI systems
Customers: Major insurers and enterprise operators

• Architecture for complex production AI systems
• Technical strategy across models, services, data, and integrations
• Reliability, evaluation, observability, and safe failure modes
• High-impact customer deployments with senior stakeholder visibility
• Engineering standards for rapid but maintainable development
• Mentorship and reusable patterns that help the team scale

You Might Be a Fit If You…
• Have a strong record of shipping production software
• Are advanced in Python and comfortable across system boundaries
• Can make and explain architecture decisions under uncertainty
• Have owned customer-facing or cross-functional technical work
• Understand LLM application patterns and practical AI limitations
• Want leadership through technical ownership rather than immediate people management

• Led an enterprise deployment or major systems integration
• Built multimodal or agentic AI products
• Worked in a high-growth, early-stage environment
