Overview

The Senior Subcontracts Specialist is a professional and individual contributor role accountable for management of subcontract agreements, performance/quality metrics and ensuring contractual obligations are met. The candidate should possess specialty knowledge of commercial management, engineering, procurement, project controls, and construction work processes, and experience in more than two contract specialties.

Responsibilities

• Typically supports large sub contract efforts of moderate to increasingly complex scope for local and international projects in an assigned region.
• Able to perform all commercial subcontracts administration work, including assistance with high volume subcontract packages from issued requests for proposals through execution phase.
• Under minimal supervision, actively participates in managing and administering subcontracts engaged in construction activities for oil and gas-related projects.
• Leads Pre-award and post award activities include qualifies potential bidders, assembles and issues Invitation to Bid, assists with commercial and technical bid evaluations towards finalization and award of contracts, daily administration during execution including communications, invoicing, status reports, and contract closeout.
• Responsible for the assigned subcontracts packages for budget and cost including monitoring on expenditures on payment approval, changes, and negotiate any disputes for the best position of the Company in accordance to the contracts provision. Cost control is essential.

Local Requirements

• Job Location : Dubai, UAE.
• The position will report directly to the Subcontracts Manager based in Dubai, UAE.
• This is a family status assignment, which includes medical insurance and visa coverage for eligible dependents.

Qualifications

• 4+ Yrs. In Supply Chain; 8-10+ Yrs. in Oil and Gas EPC Company, project management, subcontracts, contracting strategies, or contract management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administrations, or equivalent experience.
• Experiences in executing subcontract temples, packages, bid evaluation, negotiating terms and conditions or Subcontract development and management processes.
