We are looking for a Senior System Engineer to take end-to-end responsibility for the alignment, implementation and delivery of automotive features for Body Control Module (BCM) ECUs.

You will work closely with customers, software and test engineers, calibration teams, vendors and other technical stakeholders to ensure that features are correctly defined, implemented, tested and delivered. The role combines system engineering, customer requirements analysis, technical coordination and hands-on feature validation in an automotive environment.

You will

• Create and maintain technical documentation for Body Control Module (BCM) ECUs
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features, from requirements through implementation and delivery
• Analyse customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Define product parameters and functionality according to customer requirements
• Support calibration and tuning of final features on the relevant vehicle line
• Coordinate different engineering teams, competencies and vendors to ensure correct feature implementation
• Analyse feature performance during test drives and support troubleshooting
• Work closely with software and test engineers throughout the development lifecycle
• Participate in system reviews and project meetings
• Maintain regular technical communication with customers
• Contribute to technical innovations and organisational improvement programmes
• Ensure delivery according to quality standards and project schedules
• Continuously develop technical and professional expertise

Must have

• 10+ years of professional experience in system engineering or a related automotive engineering role
• Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related technical field
• Professional experience in the automotive industry
• Strong understanding of automotive electronics
• Knowledge of electronics fundamentals and electronic measurement
• Understanding of microcontrollers and software programming
• Experience working with customer requirements and technical specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple technical teams and external partners
• Good English communication skills
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Willingness and ability to travel

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Functional Safety (FuSa)
• Knowledge of ADAS systems and features
• Basic knowledge of Python
• Experience with automotive ECU development
• Experience supporting feature calibration, tuning and validation
• Experience working directly with automotive customers and suppliers
